American Falls- Mrs. Alba Warner Walton,88, former American Falls r esident, died Saturday in
Blackfoot.
She was born Sep 12, 1877, in Fillmore City, Utah, a daughter of Cy rus A. and Abbigale Tyler
Warner. The family moved to Malad when she was 6 years old, then la ter to Rockland where
she attended school.
She also attended Albion State Normal School and on June 12, 1901,m arried Wesley E. Walton
at Albion. They took up a homestead at Bonanza Bar, then sold ou t and moved to Rockland for
a time. She was a resident of American Falls for 45 years before m oving to Blackfoot to make
her home with her son, Mark.
She was a member of the Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge and the Nat ional Auxilary, United
Spanish American War Veterans (enrolled in the Santa Ana Auxilary N o.1 Department of Idaho).
Her husband and one son, Tom, preceded her in death. She is surviv ed by three sons; Ray
Walton, Ogden; Mark Walton, Blackfoot; Richard Walton, Pocatello ; a brother Calvin Warner,
Blackfoot; three sisters; Erma Snyder, Lava Hot Springs, Barbara An derson, Vancouver,
Washington, Gladys Sanderson, American Falls; a granddaughter, Marl yn Brawner, whom Mrs.
Walton reared from infancy, seven other grandchildren and 13 grea t grandchildren.

AREA PIONEER RESIDENT DIES
Albion May 29-Word has been received of the death of Wesley Walto n, American Falls. He was
81.
Mr. Walton was born Feb. 12, 1877 in Greenwood county, Kansas an d accompanied his family
across the plains in a wagon train for which his father, the lat e T.C.Walton was the scout. The
Waltons left the wagon train to settle at Albion in 1879.
Mr. Walton lived in Albion until he enlisted in the first Idaho v olunteers for service in the Spanish-
American War. He fought in the battle of Manila and was wounde d at the battle of Santa Anna.
After discharge, Mr. Walton farmed in the American Falls area fo r 20 years.
Surviving, in addition to the widow, are four sons; Thomas Walto n and Richard Walton,both Twin
Falls; Ray Walton, Ogden; and Marcus Walton, Blackfoot; three brot hers, Willis Walton, Dietrich;
T.E. Walton, Burley; and Jesse Walton, Arizona; and two sisters; H elen,Yakima and Mrs Roy Fife,
Declo.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm Saturday in the America n Falls Methodist church. A
military funeral is scheduled.
