Vancouver, WA-Gail M. Anderson, 86, died Wednesday, July 18, 2001 , in Vancouver, Washington.
Gail was born at home in Rockland, Idaho, on February 8, 1915, to Peter A ugustus Andrson and Barbara Warner Anderson. She graduated from America n Falls, High School in 1933. She attended the University of Idaho South ern Branch in Pocatello in 1934 and the University of Moscow from 1935 . She then attended business college in Salt Lake City from 1937-8.
She then went to work for Sego Milk for several years. She then worked f or the IRS for 30 years, retiring in 1981. She spent her retirement year s working for the church and various charitable organizations.
She was a longtime member of St. James Catholic Church, member of the Alt ar Society, the Legion of Mary and the Catholic Daughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Eleanor A. Bens on, who died in 1988, and Genevieve Valerio, who died in 1995. A brother , Floyd Anderson of Boise, Idaho and two nephews survive her, F. Lynn Ben son of Ogden. Utah and LeRoy A. Benson of Artesia, California and severa l grand-nieces and nephews.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, July 23, 2001, at St. James C atholic Church in Vancouver, Washington. The visitation will be from no on to 12:45 pm July 24, 2001 at Davis Mortuary, 170 Idaho St. American Fa lls. THe graveside service will be held at 1pm at Fallsview Cemetery, Am erican Falls. 3.
