Th e birth record gives his full names as Merle Leon Bowen. His parents wer e Henry N. Bowen and Jennie O. Light. (Note: his obit says he was born o n the 27th of Feb., but his birth record says he was born on the 22nd).

Cooksey Funeral Home, Inc. was the funeral di rector (in Florida?). He was a pipe fitter working in the plumbing indus try.
