1850 Obituary ""the Beloit (Wis.) Daily News. Wednescay, October 1 8, 1950. "Henry Nelson Bowen, 1673 Nelson Ave. died early today in Beloi t hospital where he had been a patient for the past two months. He was b orn May 18, 1869 in Seneca county, Ohio, on his parent's farm. He came t o Beloit in 1920 (it was actually after his mother's death in 1923, per h er obituary) from Florida, where he wad a been engaged in business. Duri ng his residence here he had been retired. Mr. Bowen was not married. S urviving are a brother , Zetus Bowen, with whom he shared his home. Tw o sisters preceeded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p .m. Friday in Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer chapel. Burial wil be in Eastlawn cem etery. The Rev. E. C. Ward will officiate."

>Note: - In the (West) Monroe Cemetery, Monroe Township, Putnam Co., Oh io Merle L. Bowen's grandparents are buried. They are George B. Light (1 838-1909) and Josephine _______ Light (1851-1927). Buried next to Joseph ine is buried Jennie Walcott (1872 - 22 November 1953). She is buried ne xt to Roy H. Walcott (1889-1949). It appears possible that this Jennie W alcott is the same as Jennie Light, Wife of Henry Nelson Bowen. It woul d make sense because of her being burined next to his grandparents. Roy c ould be a second husband of hers. We know that Henry died before 1930 an d Jennie outlived him. She may have married Roy after Henry died.
