985. Golden Kenneth Driggs was born on 4 December 1904 in Driggs, Teton, Idaho, USA. He died on 11 December 1979 at the age of 75 in Provo, Utah, Utah, USA. Golden grew up in Driggs, Idaho, then in 1921 moved with his family to A rizona. At age 17 he was an office boy for New York Life Insurance Compa ny. In 1929 he helped his father and four brothers organize the Wester n Savings & Loan Associatiuon at Phoenix, then a year later rejoined Ne w York Life to retire therefrom in 1967. He has faithfully served The Ch urch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in most offices, including tha t of Bishop and a member of High Priest's Presidency. Aprominent civic w orker, he was an active Kiwanian, and served on the board of Valley Child ren's Hospital and Guidance Clinic at Fresno, California. He is a publi c speaker of national prominence and has appeared before sales groups an d conventions in almost every large city in the United States. He is pre sently (1970) Associate Director of Development at BrighamYoung Universit y, Provo, Utah.
