TOPPENISH -- Rey L. Pratt, 73, of Toppenish, passed away Saturday, June 2 3,
1990 at his home.
He was born April 30, 1917 at Manassa, CO to Rey and Mary (Stark) Prat t.
Mr. Pratt married his wife Afton Madsen in Salt Lake City, Utah May 29, 1 942.
He served in both WWII and the Korean conflict serving in the Army from 1 941-
1951. In 1950 he moved to Pasco, WA working for General Electric Co. at
Hanford from 1951 to 1958. That same year the family moved to Toppenis h where
he worked as an accountant. In 1982 he retired from Central Memorial Hos pital
in Toppenish.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,
Toppenish Ward.
He will always be remembered as a good friend and not ever meeting a
stranger.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Afton Pratt of Toppenish; three so ns and
their wives, David R. (Sharon) Pratt of Richland, Roger C. (Terese) Prat t of
Kennewick and Bryan L. (Catherine) Pratt of Auburn; 11 grandchildren; one
brother, Trucy Pratt of Texas and one sister, Emaline Bluth of Utah.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday and Tuesday an d 9 to
9:30 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral service.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 27, 1990 at 10 a.m. at th e
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Toppenish. Interment wil l
follow at the Zillah City Cemetary.
