193. Benjamin Woodbury Driggs Jr. was born on 31 January 1858 in Pleasant Grove, Utah, Utah, USA. From 21 July 1910 to 1930 he was an Attorney At Law in Driggs, Fremont, Idaho.^29,30,31 He died Hypostatic pneumonia with edema of lungs on 21 July 1930 at the age of 72 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, USA. Spent his boyhood and attended common schools at Pleasant Grove, Utah . Attended Univ of Utah, then graduated in law in 1886 from Univ of Mich igan. He practiced law at Provo, Salt Lake City, and at intervals in Ida ho. In 1887 he was elected alderman of Provo City Council. In 1888, h e first heard of the Teton Valley in Idaho; it had been opened for settle rs to locate on lands. He often spent summers there, sometimes remainin g for a year or two.
When Teton Valley was first located, there was no post office within 4 0 miles. He and his brothers and their families signed a petition to th e Post Office Department for an office there. The Department, seeing so m any 'Driggs' names on the petition, called the place 'Driggs', which appe llation it has since born. Don Carlos Driggs was the first postmaster an d its first mayor. Benjamin, Jr., was city attorney. The Village of Drigg s is now incorporated and a thriving community.

Benjamin Woodbury Driggs Jr. and Olive Russell Harrington were married on 25 November 1880 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, USA.
