He was endowed on 23 Feb 2005 in the Provo Utah LDS temple. He was sealed to his parents on 23 Jun 2005 in the Provo Utah LDS temple. >1895 Birth Record-Gives his full name and place of birth and birth date and parents. Place of birth is listed as Paulding Twp., Paulding Co, Ohio. It does not say Bowling Town. That comes from his WW! draft registration card. There is no Bowling Town now. There may have been then. The birth record gives his full names as Merle Leon Bowen. His parents were Henry N. Bowen and Jennie O. Light. (Note: his obit says he was born on the 27th of Feb., but his birth record says he was born on the 22nd).
>1910 US Census - Bloom Twp, Wood County, Ohio. He must be a child of a prior marriage of Birtha's since he was 15 years of age and Jennie and Henry were only married 9 years at this time. He apparently took Bowen as his last name.

He was living there at the time. He was married. The informant of the death was Mrs. Lorene Bowen, his wife. He wasage 74 when he died. He was burried in Monroe Cemetery, in Continental, Ohio. Cooksey Funeral Home, Inc. was the funeral director (in Florida?). He was a pipe fitter working in the plumbing industry.
