Sabina (Bina) Holmes was born on 25 August 1873 in Monroe, Allen Co., Ohio, USA. She died on 5 October 1963 in Attica, Seneca, Ohio, USA. >1930 US census: Bina (apparently short for Savina) is a widow living in Reed Township, Seneca County, Ohio. Her children, Russel H. (age 24), and Hazel E. (age 15) are living with her. Both are single.
>Bina's parents were also born in Ohio per the 1900 census.
>Film # 388651 Seneca County, Ohio Births 1879-1909 gives the births of 3 of her children. In each of them it gives their mother's last name as: Bina Holmes, not Featheringill.
>Her parents were John Quillin Holmes born ~ 1838, and Harriet Augusta Metcalf, born 17 Feb 1842 in Seneca Co., Ohio. They were married 29 Mar 1860 in Seneca County Ohio. (another record has the date as 13 Mar 1860).
>1880 US Census of Monroe, Allen County, Ohio has her name as Savina Holmes, born in Ohio, age 5. The parents are John and Harriet which is correct. Since her age and parents are the same, this must be the right person. Her grandmother's first name was Sabina Hillis. She could have been named after her and called Bina, or her name could have actually been Bina. This 1880 census is the only record I have found that gives her name as Savina.

(it is possible that one of those names is her maiden name and the other is her married name by a prior marriage). This record also gives his father's first name as Edmond, not Elmer. Edwin's parents were living in Reed, Ohio at the time of the birth. > Edwin died in infancy. She was buried in , Seneca Co., Ohio, USA. >Film # 388651 Seneca County, Ohio Births 1879-1909 gives her birth date. It also gives her mother's last name as: Bina Holmes, not Featheringill. (it is possible that one of those names is her maiden name and the other is her married name by a prior marriage). The parents were living in Reed Twp. when Olga was born. >She was killed in an accident while in high school. She had no children. (per Helen Gertrude Barber Murray, family genealogist) >Souce of death informaiton: Ohio Obituary Index. >Obituary: "Olga Elizabeth Pratt, second daughter of Elmer N. and Bina Pratt, was born in Reed Township, Seneca County, Ohio, June 3, 1908 and died July 23, 1924, aged 16 years, 1 month adn 20 days.In 1920, she, with her mother, two sisters and a brother, moved near Attica, after which she became a pupil in the Attica High School, and was a member o f the class of 1925. She was a member of the Universalists Sunday School of Attica, and was one fo our best christian girls. While in bathing at Locust Point, a few hours before her death she remarked that she wouldn't be afraid to die because her conscience was clear. She was preceded to the great beyond by her father and two brothers and leaves to morn her departure, her mother, two sisters, and one brother and a host of relatives and friends.
