1850 Obituary ""the Beloit (Wis.) Daily News. Wednescay, October 18, 1950. "Henry Nelson Bowen, 1673 Nelson Ave. died early today in Beloit hospital where he had been a patient for the past two months. He was born May 18, 1869 in Seneca county, Ohio, on his parent's farm. He came to Beloit in 1920 (it was actually after his mother's death in 1923, per her obituary) from Florida, where he wad a been engaged in business. During his residence here he had been retired. Mr. Bowen was not married. Surviving are a brother , Zetus Bowen, with whom he shared his home. Two sisters preceeded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer chapel. Burial wil be in Eastlawn cemetery. The Rev. E. C. Ward will officiate."

Jennie O. Light was born in 1872 of Perry, Putnam Co., Ohio. She died about 1953 in Ohio. She was baptized into the LDS Church on 11 Feb 2005 in the Provo Utah LDS temple. (George and Jocie are buried in (West) Monroe Cemetery, Monroe Township, Putnam Co., Ohio. Their tombstones say "George B. Light, 1838-1909, Co. A 66 Reg O.V.V.I.; Josephine (his wife) 1851-1927. Also buried next to them is Cora Light, d. 19Autust 1941 (no stone); and Henry Light d.18 November 1939 (no stone).

>Note: - In the (West) Monroe Cemetery, Monroe Township, Putnam Co., Ohio Merle L. Bowen's grandparents are buried. They are George B. Light (1838-1909) and Josephine _______ Light (1851-1927). Buried next to Josephine is buried Jennie Walcott (1872 - 22 November 1953). She is buried next to Roy H. Walcott (1889-1949). It appears possible that this Jennie Walcott is the same as Jennie Light, Wife of Henry Nelson Bowen. It would make sense because of her being burined next to his grandparents. Roy could be a second husband of hers. We know that Henry died before 1930 and Jennie outlived him. She may have married Roy after Henry died. Henry Nelson Bowen and Jennie O.
