Golden grew up in Driggs, Idaho, then in 1921 moved with his family to A rizona. At age 17 he was an office boy for New York Life Insurance Compa ny. In 1929 he helped his father and four brothers organize the Wester n Savings & Loan Associatiuon at Phoenix, then a year later rejoined Ne w York Life to retire therefrom in 1967. He has faithfully served The Ch urch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in most offices, including tha t of Bishop and a member of High Priest's Presidency. Aprominent civic w orker, he was an active Kiwanian, and served on the board of Valley Child ren's Hospital and Guidance Clinic at Fresno, California. He is a publi c speaker of national prominence and has appeared before sales groups an d conventions in almost every large city in the United States. He is pre sently (1970) Associate Director of Development at BrighamYoung Universit y, Provo, Utah.
